A pioneer of French whisky (1999), the distillery produces its single malts over direct flame in former farm buildings facing Bréhat Island — one of the few in the world to practise this technique. The shop is open Monday to Saturday (10am–12:30pm, 2pm–6pm) with free tasting. Closed Sunday; in summer, reduced afternoon hours (2pm–5pm). Insider tip: call before any off-season visit to confirm hours — the distillery may close occasionally for production reasons.
AVEL ZO crêperie — 64 rue de la Presqu'île, Pleubian (22610). ~10 min by car (~6 km) from the house, on the road to the Talbert Spit. Family crêperie offering galettes, crêpes, pizzas, salads and grills — generous portions, PRM accessible, kids friendly. Insider tip: 700 m from the start of the Talbert Spit path, it's the ideal lunch stop after the walk. Closed Wednesday — check Sunday opening in season.
